Faculty and students from NCYU participated in the "Migratory ​Raptors Release Workshop and International Research Exchange with ​Seoul National University and Kyung Hee University" in South Korea.

This trip, supported by NCYU's ​Higher Education Sprout ​Project, allowed faculty and ​students to broaden their ​horizons and gain new ​experiences during the ​summer.

The Higher Education Sprout Project supported NCYU's ​Musical Theatre Troupe in staging the Broadway classic ​Shrek, attracting 847 attendees from various age ​groups in Chiayi.

Adapted from the popular DreamWorks film, the 2024 ​performance in Chiayi aimed to provide local audiences ​with a delightful evening of laughter and vibrant music.

NCYU continues implementing general education practice courses to promote important competencies such ​as cross-disciplinary knowledge, self-directed learning, and problem-solving skills. Through hands-on ​creation and experimentation, students gain a deeper understanding of introductory knowledge from ​disciplines outside their own.

The final results effectively reflect the ​development of cross-disciplinary ​knowledge, aesthetic literacy, and ​teamwork, achieving the goal of ​encouraging self-directed learning.

The NCYU Symphony Orchestra, invited by the ​Taiwan-Korea Exchange Association, ​performed representative pieces from both ​Taiwan and Korea, showcasing the unique ​characteristics of both cultures.

NCYU's Higher Education Sprout Project combines professional ​drone facilities and instructors to continue training and research ​in drone applications.

It helps students master ​drone operation skills and ​obtain the Civil Aviation ​Administration's General or ​Professional Operation ​Certificate.

The university also regularly conducts Civil Aviation Administration ​drone theory and practical exams, actively assisting organizations in ​offering additional practical exam sessions to cultivate domestic ​drone professionals.

The university has partnered with the international brand MUJI ​to launch eight new water-saving rice products. Additionally, ​through technical transfer collaboration with the Taichung Big ​Character Agricultural Marketing Cooperative, they developed ​the "Channan Yinxiang" sake, known for its aromatic and smooth ​flavor.

With funding from the Higher Education Sprout Project, the ​university also published the science picture book Gabao's Great ​Discovery in the Field-Drought Rice Edition, offering guidance on ​drought rice expertise while continuing research and development ​on rice varieties and industry-academia collaboration.

The Higher Education Sprout ​Project at NCYU held the ​"Millennial Brewing Wisdom ​Lecture," combining hands-on ​practice with tastings. ​Participants learned traditional ​brewing techniques and ​experienced the brewing ​process firsthand.

One participant noted that the activity deepened their understanding of microbial changes and wanted to ​apply this knowledge in community outreach. Another participant shared that the fermentation knowledge ​gained was highly inspiring for baking techniques and plans to incorporate it into future product ​development, fully reflecting the fun and charm of brewing craftsmanship.

The NCYU Higher Education Sprout Project ​supports institutional research and ​publishes the 2023-2024 Academic Year ​Gender at a Glance Report to promote ​gender equality on campus. This report ​showcases the university's achievements in ​gender equality and outlines future ​initiatives.

NCYU also plans to expand gender equality ​education courses and encourages all ​faculty and staff to participate in related ​workshops and advocacy activities annually ​to enhance awareness and support for ​gender equality among students and staff.
